Hello there. It's good to see you again. Today is Good Friday, a holy day of obligation that is primarily observed by Christians commemorating the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death at Cavalry. Christians all around the world attend mass to solemnize this event as a sign of respect and adoration to God. Attending mass on a day like this is one way to be holy. Now, as Christians, we should be attending mass every Sunday to devote one day a week to God to thank him for all his blessings. Simple things like this strengthen our relationship with God. Being holy isn't always about what you do that can be observed by other people though. It has a lot to do with your integrity, and how you act when no one is watching. God will always be watching you, and he gives you free will to choose your path. Little things that you do on your own are very significant in showing what type of person you are. For example, if you just hold the door for someone walking behind you or if you talk someone out of doing something you both know is wrong, God sees these things, and he will be very pleased with you. These little things are what brings you closer to God and Heaven.

Holy Thursday
Hello there. Today is Holy Thursday, the most profound and complex religious event besides the Easter Vigil. I go to Strake Jesuit and we had a mass today at 1:45. Usually we have mass in the mornings, so many people at school were confused why we would have it in the afternoon today. I am here to answer that question. We had mass in the evening today because Passover began at sundown, and the Catholic Church wants to imitate the exact timing of the day. It was a great mass, our priest, father Johnson washed the feet of 12 students during mass to signify the washing of the Apostle's feet by Jesus. I thought this was very interesting, and brought to my attention how humble Jesus was. As teenagers today many kids dont think much of how they act because they might think its cool to make fun of someone, or bully etc. But today I just want all of the teenagers to think about what Jesus did. He washed the feet of his apostles. This is an extremely humble act of kindness because the son of God had the authority over all of them and could have made them wash his feet everyday. My main message for today to all the teenagers is to reflect on the washing of the feet, and try to incorporate this act of humbleness in your everyday life. Be sure to check our blog again soon for new posts. Thanks

Our 1st Perspective on Holiness
Hello there. Thank you for visiting our blog. Since this is our first real post, we believe it is necessary to write about our own opinions and perspectives about holiness, just to let the audience know how we feel. Well first of all, we feel holiness is a very sacred thing, and should be taken into account by all people. Recognizing holiness and striving to be holy are very important in the Christian community. The reason for this would be because anyone can say they're holy, but it's what they actually do underneath all the talk that truly defines them as a person, and as a Child of God. Sincerely determined Christians have somewhat of a hunger inside of them that makes them strive to reach their full potential of holiness. That being said, holiness is not (or at least should not) be a tough thing to accomplish. We feel anyone and anything can be holy with the presence of God. Because after all, God is the holiest of all, and this is where faith comes into play. If you have a 100% devoted faith in God, that automatically makes you somewhat holy. Now, what you do to further increase this idea of holiness in your life is up to you. You choose your own path in life, and whether that is towards God or away from God, you are always loved.

Introduction to our blog
Welcome to the blog of Andrew Malekie and Scott Santry. Yes, we know that the title of our blog is spelled incorrectly with a “y” instead of an “i”, but it is for a reason. Our main goal is to teach you about the universal call to holiness, but we want to demonstrate this in a whole new perspective. A different view on this topic might make it more understandable and easier to learn, hence the different spelling of holiness.
We intend for the information that we put in our blog to be for teens, specifically those in high school wanting to learn more about their faith, because we feel that we can connect with people as such more thoroughly. Even though they are the intended audience, we also feel that anyone who wants to see what our blog has to offer is free to do so. Thank you for looking at our page and we look forward to sharing our information and thoughts with you.
